Plymouth-Goshen Trail and 6th/Lilac Bridges over Existing US 31 Under Construction
Plymouth-Goshen Trail: Plymouth-Goshen Trail is closed between Lilac Road and County Road 7B/Linden Road through fall 2009. This will allow crews to construct a new Plymouth-Goshen Trail bridge over existing US 31. Posted detours direct eastbound Plymouth-Goshen Trail traffic to take Lilac Road north to County Road 7B east and back to Plymouth-Goshen Trail. Westbound traffic will be directed to take County Road 7B west to Lilac Road south and back to Plymouth-Goshen Trail.
6th/Lilac Road: 6th/Lilac Road on both sides of the US 31 intersection is closed through fall 2009. This allows crews to construct a new 6th/Lilac Road bridge over existing US 31. Residents have access to properties on either side of the closure, but through traffic is being detoured. Posted signs direct local traffic around the closure via Michigan Road, 5A Road, Lilac Road, 5B Road, Linden Road and 7B Road.
Construction Underway Between US 6 and SR 4
Crews have been working through the winter on the grading project between US 6 and SR 4. Crews started clearing the land in the area around Rockstroh Road (photo), which is closed to through traffic. The map shows all anticipated road closures as part of the grading contract.
Road closures are updated on the project Web site. Visit www.us31plysb.com and click on "Construction/Closure Info."
