Next round of public open houses next weekThe project team will return to St. Joseph County April 15 and 16 to discuss design and construction plans and answer questions from residents. Meeting times and locations are: Wednesday, April 15 Thursday, April 16 The project team will have design and construction plans available for residents to review. Land acquisition specialists also will be there to answer questions about land purchasing and relocation. Updated maps presented at the open houses will be loaded on the project Web site. Lilac/Tyler Road contract awarded, construction to beginThe contract to construct the Lilac/Tyler Road bridge over US 31 has been awarded to Primco, Inc., the same contractor performing the grading work, for $2.27 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in approximately six weeks and will be complete in fall 2009. Click the “Construction/Closure Info” button on the Web site for up-to-date information about the road closures.
