Final Environmental Impact Statement approved by INDOT and FHWA

INDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approved the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) on Dec. 1, 2008. The FEIS documents the potential effects of the proposed project on the US 31 Hamilton County corridor. A Record of Decision (ROD) is anticipated from the FHWA in early 2009. A ROD allows final design, right of way purchases and permitting to begin. Construction is expected to begin in 2011.
