More than 700 attend open houses in May

The project team returned to the area on May 19 and 20 to present Stage 1 design plans, and more than 700 residents came to review the updated maps and ask questions.

At the open houses, a brief overview was given and residents visited one-on-one with team members. Exhibits showing preliminary design elements were available for review. Those exhibits showed whether the cross streets will go under, over or stop at the freeway; drainage design; bridge structures and interchange design.

One of the most anxiously anticipated announcements was the design of the interchanges at 7th Road, US 6, SR 4, Kern Road and US 20.
