Buy Tickets Now for The Longest Dinner This Tues., Aug. 12

Bring your friends and family for "The Longest Dinner," a unique dining experience around one long table from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the alley behind Chatham Tap, Metro and Scholar's Inn. The $30 ticket includes a three-course meal, live music and other Fringe entertainment, including buskers and street theatre. A cash bar will be available.

5:30 p.m. -- Bar opens, mix and mingle
7:00 p.m. -- Three-course dinner begins with roving Indy Fringe performers, musicians
9:15 p.m. -- Live Band, bar still open, mix and mingle
10:30 p.m. -- Event ends

Thanks to many volunteers, proceeds from the event will support the Cultural Trail and Indy Fringe. This alley is part of the Cultural Trail's northeast corridor, which will begin construction this fall. The Indy Fringe Festival officially opens Friday, August 22, and ends August 31.

Indianapolis Cultural Trail Mass Ave Criterium Sat., Aug. 16

Experience European-style bike racing up close and personal on Mass Ave from 7:30 a.m. to Noon. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail Mass Ave Criterium, presented by NUVO and The Indianapolis Foundation (a CICF affiliate), will host cyclists from across the Midwest competing for $5,000 in cash prizes.

Bring the kids for a free bike safety rodeo, free kids helmets, a free kids bike race and a post-race party in the Rathskeller Biergarten.

The course, set to start/finish at 660 Massachusetts Ave. near the Firefighters Union Hall, will close Massachusetts Ave., College Ave. and North St., for the duration of the race. Pedestrians and cars will be allowed to cross these streets mid-race.

Seven races will be held in the following categories and times:
7:30 a.m.  Men 4/5* 7:30 a.m.
8:20 a.m.  BGI Men 3/4
9:10 a.m.  MAS 30+
9:55 a.m.  Men 35+ 3/4/5
9:55 a.m.  Women Open
10:40 a.m. Kids’ Races** – Free for children age 12 and under.
11:00 a.m. Men 1/2/3

*class/ranking
** Kids’ Race – Participants must bring their own bicycle. Helmets provided as necessary. Children will race in heats by age group. All participants must register prior to race at Athenaeum, 401 E. Michigan St.
